These days more and more people are looking to custom crib bedding for their new family member. They are turning away from the "everywhere item" and looking for something more unique.

What parent does not want things to be just perfect for the new arrival? What better way to get things just perfect than by designing the bedding yourself?
Zebra Bedding
Scouring the stores has resulted in frustration, high gas bills and plenty of wasted time. Bedding everywhere, but nothing you like.
So why not try custom made? This can be less costly than you might imagine. After all, what is custom crib bedding?
Custom made really just means being able to have your choice of material and design. With access today to the internet most things are possible if you find the right link.
How will we go about it?
First, take a look at the room that will be the nursery and visualise how you want it to look. Now go all out to turn that vision into reality.
Although mother-to-be is likely to want the last word on selection, this is something best done together with your partner. We are talking about a family here, right?
You can now go to your chosen site and start turning your ideas into reality. Many sites have a "drag and drop" facility that makes designing from the ground up a snap.
What if you don't like some part of what you have selected? Easy. Drag it away and drag something else into the space. It is a fascinating thing to do and really grows on you. Maybe you could start designing for friends.
Some suppliers even provide a facility that allows you to purchase material to your own design for extra special custom crib bedding.
So, do not be afraid to try. No one else is watching and things will all gradually fall into place as the picture builds. All this in the comfort of your own home, coffee in hand.
Maybe you feel that your design skills are limited. Well, it is possible to have someone design it for you. Top end designers are going to charge premium prices but there are plenty of others at more reasonable cost. US sewers can still be found at reasonable rates.
Ensure that you do all this in plenty of time. Expect time, like costs, to have over runs. Leaving it to the last month of pregnancy can lead to last minute panic buying, resulting in buying something you will regret later.
Set a budget, and stick to it. It is so easy to get carried away in the rosy glow of the moment. You should include a contingency allowance (say 5 to 10%). There is always something that we overlook
Which company? Word of mouth from a satisfied customer is always best. Failing that, do research your maker carefully.
Make sure that what you order is really what you want. Change of mind or cancellation may well be impossible.
Returns with custom made are naturally difficult if not impossible, so be really sure before you commit. After all, who will want your rejected masterpiece?
Above all, enjoy together the experience of putting together your very own custom crib bedding.
